from our NEW range of Organic Gluten-Free Flours

Buckwheat flour is made by grinding the pyramid-shaped kernels of buckwheat. Despite its name, buckwheat is not related to wheat and is naturally gluten-free. The flour is also grain-free because buckwheat is a pseudocereal, just like our Organic Royal Quinoa. Buckwheat flour is especially popular for making bread, pancakes, crepes, blinis, noodles and a variety of baked goods.

Did you know? The global gluten-free market is expected to expand considerably between 2020 and 2025, from $5.6 billion to $8.3 billion (Statista, Nov 2020).

The global buckwheat market was in 2020 estimated at 1.2 billion USD and is anticipated to reach 1.4 billion USD, recording a CAGR (Compound annual growth rate) of 2.7% throughout the foreseen period (2020-2025). This is especially true to the European market, which is assumed to acheive a significantly higher share of the world market due to increased consumption of buckwheat.

The increasing worldwide preference for organically grown, gluten-free and vegan products will also drive growth in the buckwheat flour market.
